Before your shift, not during it
The two hours you booked are the two hours you get. Anything you would rather not spend them on — the cloakroom, a coffee, a queue for anything at all — is better dealt with in the park beforehand. It is free out there and the clock is not running yet. That distinction between the free grounds and the timed museum is the whole subject of villa versus galleria.
Eating around the park
I am not naming restaurants on this page. Recommendations rot faster than any other kind of travel advice, and a name that was right two years ago sends you to a shut door. What I will say is that you are in Pinciano, in Rome, in a residential district with normal city streets on every side of the park, and you will not go hungry.
Do the food after the museum, not before it. A shift you are late for is a shift you have partly lost, and lunch is the single most common reason people arrive at the door with twenty minutes already gone.
The other attractions inside the grounds
The Bioparco and the Cinema dei Piccoli both sit inside the park and both sell their own admission. We do not publish their hours here because we have not verified them — check each one directly on the day. What we can tell you is that walking past them costs nothing, which is covered on is it free.
